I had a 400 with 5.7 rods in my el Camino. Would be my choice again if i was going to use a sbc. But a 383 ain´t bad, would be my second choice.
My 64 Olds that will be either black or dark grey in the future. A 455 with a M20 are lying in pieces at the moment but will replace the 330 and 2...

Cool but i would have put another color on the wheels to have some contrast to the body color.

My 64 Olds F-85 wagon gets 16-17 mpg and are easily crusing at 70 mph on the highway. Early 60's wagons are not as expensive as the 50's wagons....
