This may seem like a dumb topic but I am running out of ideas and have boxes full of cool hubcaps that don't fit.

I have a plain old 6 lug half ton chevy pickup. I don't have tabs for the dog dish caps. I can't put caps that are tight to the wheel because they won't fit on the front (Sweet set of electra caps don't fit). I tried 15 inch chevy caps and they are a hair too small. The only thing that is a decent fit is 15" riviera caps.

Has anyone had any luck with hubcaps?

  4. I wanted to keep my original style caps , but needed big tyres to carry the camper , so I had the 15" centers cut out and fitted into 16" rims , got to keep it looking ok .

I guess I am just saying , maybe get some rims that the caps fit and make them fit your original centers .......

Who says you can have cool caps on an original apache wheel?

15 inch buick hub caps fit on the back because there is no wheel hub. It was definitely not the case with the front.

I started with two sets of 1961 buick hubcaps. I took the center cap out of the cheaper set and started making holes for the spider. I put the spider from the fancy caps in and needed to find a bullet to replace the original since it was flat mount. Found some bullets from fee bay and voila.

Have thought of welding new tabs? You can still purchase them. Just drill out the old rivets.

Thanks Guys, I was trying to go a little custom. I am a bolt on kinda guy, not much of a welder. I really wanted spinners or sombreros tried getting away from the dog dishes. The front wheel hub was my first hurdle, second was not all 15" caps fit (so far only luck with 60s buick, 50s chevy don't fit).
    1) I used my spare so you get an idea of the rim.

    2) One front rim with a 60s Rivera cap and the hub sticking out of the center hole

    3) Front wheel with my version of custom

    4) Rear wheel with a stock cap
