Just spouting off here, but I see a (dual cowl?) phaeton waiting to emerge, especially after the comment about the expansive backseat legroom. It wouldn't be a huge endeavor if you leave it without a folding top, just lots of little additional body bracing and cleanup of the cut lines...dude its $50 bucks, you can't go wrong.
Brings back an old memory of a car done by Carl Zechbauer(?) Anybody know the car I'm talking about? Chopped, black.
Go over to the P15-D24 site for a ton of info http://www.merc583.addr.com/mopar/index.html Nice score.
You have a 1948 dodge d-24 delux, I have the same one and in process of getting ready for paint. Question would you be willing to part with left rear fender?
Damn vultures. It can't be that freaking hard to find a 46-48 Dodge fender, we've had them, even had a 3-window coupe, and you can hardly give the things away. This guy's bumping a 2009 thread to ask a guy to hack up a complete car? $50's about all I'd pay for one too, only because I know it's worth more than that over the scales.
Year back when my Wife and I were dating, I took her to a few swap meets. One day she asked why I like to look at brown car parts.
