Tail lights

I bought a 1970 VW dune buggy that was a show car . I am trying to get it
street ready .The problem I am having is when the Ignition is off the tail lights
are on the brake light, head lights are ok, Does anyone have any solutions to my
Problem?

Not trying to be rude, but this forum doesn't do 1970's or Dune buggys.

 

Maybe it will be better answer on the samba or something like that !
