Maybe im just devils advocate here, but his stuff looks good, but not an "oh my god check out this guys work" post type good...

And for clarity, i like his stuff, not trashing him...

Allow me to educate you as to why this was worth posting. For example, take a look at the orange bike tank Kurt posted on pinhead lounge. What you will find is a spectacular flame layout, masterful top grade pinstriping and a beautiful Rat Fink mural. When it comes to sprying the paint Im not his pier but as far as the striping and the layout goes, take it from me ,there arent 8 other stripers on that site that could match the quality of the striping on that tank and thats not to say that there aint a hell of alot of talent on that site! In the 9 or so photos the guy has posted,it is very obvious that he has mastered every style of American custom automotive art work from any era.A professional! ....someone to learn from.

  7. Anthony, I'll drink to that! The guy is a 1Shot god, no doubt!

No go check out my "old carshow revisted' post! it's right up your alley!! :D

kurt silva is a close friend of mine. he has done lots of stuff for me over the years and his stuff it top knotch. he is well known in our parts as the go to guy for the best pinstriping and graphic art. aside from his obvious talents he is a great person. if your in Bend, Oregon, you wont be able to miss his custom painted ranger.

Like yetiskustoms, living in Bend,OR I'm also pretty familiar with Kurt's work, and gotta believe it's second to none! We're lucky to have him here, he'll assuredly get the nod when my project gets to that stage! One of Pinhead Lounge's largest galleries used to not have the artists names visible 'til you pulled up the individual pieces, just for fun I went thru the entire thing blindly pulling up only pieces that really got my attention, based on good design/classic style/line quality/symmetry, ultimately from a huge number of stripers it was the same five or so guys that popped-up time after time, Kurt being one of them. Just to give you an idea of what bracket he's in!

Bringing this thread back from the dead. I had the privilege of Kurt Silva doing some work on my Cadillac and he is amazing. I will let the pics speak for themselves.
