Current Drivetrain is 283 with powerglide tranny. Going to pull them and go thru to decide if I want to stick with them or move to Chevy 350 and tranny. Really considering 8.8 rear as well. Guy who owned it drove it around a very small town at about 20 mph and he's 70+ years old. Still don't know what the house switches were for but their coming out as well as other things. He even has a/c running to a air storage tank under the cab so with an air chuck on the drivers side to air up his tractor tires out in the field and also runs a set of huge air horns under the hood. Speaking of hood and trim, truck has current Texas title and when I was purchasing from him he told me it was a 51 but title clearly shows it a 52. Trim spears look to be newer so think they were changed out. Also found a doner 51 model with lots of extra parts (cab and bed are in very good shape with just minor rust that I'm going to use for the build. It even has a 48 to 50 hood with the trim but like the look of the 51-52 better. Will post pics of doner now that I have cab and bed off and ready for blasting and will keep pics coming as the project moves on...
...my guess on the seat is early Ford Ranger, the small truck; have used many of those in trucks, fit/sit nice.
