wow, i havent seen one of the model threads in a long time. good news from my town, my friend who owns the only hobby store in town started dealing in vintage models last week. theyre all from a vintage collection, there's thousands. theyre all like new, and for sale cheap. this is some of the stuff i got...

i havent started on this big fella yet, 1/32 scale corsair from the early 60's. for those of you who are not familiar with aircraft scales, this thing is BIG. bout a foot and a half wingspan..

another one is a little 1/72 scale hellcat, i finished it last night. didnt realize matchbox made plastic kits, but yes, its the same company. from the 70's

here it is with another zero of the same scale i built awhile back.

here's a size comparison, these guys are small enough to display conveniently but still load tons of detail into, which makes for some FUN building.

the next guy is a b-17 1/144th scale (yes you heard me correctly) because of the size of the real thing its about the same as a 1/72 fighter

and now, one of my favorites, a 1/144th scale SBD dauntless. this thing is TINY.. is now graces the dashboard of my daily driver. i had a blast building this little fella.

well thats it for me, its taken a few months to finish all these great models. every year when it gets to cold to go bust my balls on something outside i retreat to my room and build models. wish me luck on that corsair and happy modeling....
