Projects 59 El Camino.. Part Two

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by J.Fishbeck, Nov 10, 2011.

  1. A lot of things to consider. Every wheel is different.

  2. Kitch' showed me to a 30-1 rdstr, so I could trace a copy of the upper deck panel. Drew up a tipping wheel die, I need to create the curved break in the curve of the reveal

Jay, are you gonna polish up that horn emblem button or go with the satin look?

  4. Went with the pearl white piece, for the 59 wheel. Went pearl white on the 57's wheel also

What's the cost on problem solving? Your office would have one hell of a therapy seat to receive advise ;) :D

Dang Jay, that 59 wheel looks so good!

  9. Projects are usually one problem after another. I usually have to eat that, myself. But it all washes down, with that Wonderful Fukushima water!

The 57 wheel I just cut down, done in white, shows me how me how oversized they are, originally. Thanks Ken

I've been thinking about getting a car trunk tub and welding it on to the rear of mine but I don't know if it's Impala size or Biscayne size or even if there's a difference in the trunk floors.

  15. The floors are the same, from what I understand. The rear difference is wgn/elco or psngr car.

Great to see the Elky getting attention Jay!
The steering wheels came out great. You have probably said before, what are you using to coat the steering wheel?

  19. I use PC7 epoxy. Not to fun to work with, but it works. Thanks again

  20. Drying, an awaiting paint.
