    Hey

Can someone advise a solution for mounting the dipstick into a rear humped sump (eat your heart out Dr Suess) as pictured. The engine that came in my project 50 shoebox has a front cover mounted dipstick into the small hump in the front of the sump.
It's a late 70s engine and doesn't have the extra casting I'm told were on later engines.

Thanks Roy. We didn't get 302 powered vans over here in NZ though (wish we did!)

I welded a new socket into mine and made a new stick, but some later model sumps including windsor's, had a riveted section for the dipstick in the side of the sump.

What part of NZ are you in ? I've got a spare one of those Windsor Bronco sumps like you've got, with a dipstick mounted on the side of sump about the middle/rear of it. We live in Canterbury .send us a message/email if you want it.
