I have two carter w-1 574S carbs ( 839987 ) that I want to put on my tattersfield dual intake. Would anyone who has this setup mind telling me what modifications/issues they had with getting them working? what I am looking for is information on how to setup the W-1. What jet size, needle and seat are needed? What mettering rods do i need?
    235 is stock.
Standard rear end, drive line, 4spd transmission.

Thanks for the help in advance

I got some info from the carbking and wanted to pass it on....

Here is a link which has much information about the W-1 carburetors:

The "long needles" are the metering rods. The best approach is to build the W-1's to absolute stock condition; and then adjust from there. Depending on what has been done to the engine (compression, cam, headers, etc.) very little may be needed to modify the carburetors.

I would think just rebuilding them with a good kit will be fine, I will be running this same setup except my w-1s are 420s.
