Although I personally wouldn't have removed the fins, as it takes away the P-38 lighting tails, which is why this era caddy is my favorite... You are doing an AWESOME job and it looks better than I thought a fin-less caddy would. One question for you, on the brakes, why did you add vacuum boost? I totally agree with going to dual cylinder, for safety, which i will do when I do my clip, but I LOVE the feeling manual brakes give to your foot. Now that I have been driving with them for over a year as a daily driver, I HATE my power brakes in my other cars, you can't "feel" right before she locks up. Are you keeping the front drum, is that why? With my conversion to disc up front and some wider tires I stop way shorter then my wife's stock 2001 jeep from 60 MPH... Show us some more updates if you can!

Hey dudes, SORRY. The Cadillac went back into hibernation while I finish this project:

    http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=805553

It's a '57 Chevy Panel Truck and I'm building it first because I need something like it for work. I could have bought a modern work van...but where's the fun in that?

Anyway, I haven't given up, moved-on, or quit on the Cadillac. It is next. Hang in there.

Can wait to see the updates. I think all the interest in your project is because we've all been there as far as the sins of our youth. Lol
You have a chance at making it right. You're repairing all of our mistakes. :)
