Event Coverage Open Houses & Happenings GNRS Week?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by El Hueso, Dec 12, 2013.

  1. With the Grand National Roadster Show just around the corner (January 24th-26th), it got me wondering if any shops will be having an open house again this year. A possible DICE release party again? Chime in if you know of any events going on in the area that week. Thanks!

I don't know about open houses, but the Kennedy Boys, Early V8 Ford,Hollywood Hot Rods Walden and others have always been hospitable prior to the show dates.

Friday night is spent hanging at the show and Saturday is even better.

I am curious on what shops will be open on Thursday prior to the show to check out (in the LA area)

In the past, we've hit SoCal, the Kennedy Bros., and Walden's shop on Thursday (all in the same vicinity). Plus, The Early Ford Store in San Dimas is a must stop. Also, get to the fairgrounds early on Friday and tour the NHRA Museum in the morning - the GNRS opens at noon as I recall - almost worth the trip by itself. They sell a combined ticket for both venues.

    Have fun.

If anyone is by the airport or driving on The 405 and wants to stop by they are welcome to.
We back up to the West/Ocean/Airport side of the 405 by the 105 next to the LAX Airport.
Not an open house, but feel free to stop by during the day.
