Does anyone know the make and year of the roof on this car?

This is not a trick question, the info was not in the online write-up.

    Thanks.

  2. Me?? I think that there has been metal added to the 'C' pillar, making it *look* like a different roof. Quite a common technique, used on such lowly as Omni TC3.

    I hafta agree........

  6. At first, it reminded me of a 58 Chevy roof, but the C pillar is reversed

  7. Or like a Chevy that Chevrolet tried to make look like a Caddy that someone tried to make look like a Lincoln Continental II?

  10. looks like a stock rear window and convertible quarter windows. that pic kinda looks photo shopped tho.

  11. The rear 1/4 window is shortened and metal added to the rear post. It looks like stock rear glass.

  12. That car was at Goodguys/Charlotte a few years ago and I talked to the owner .I asked about the roof ,but dang if I can remember the exact details...seems like the shop that built it used the stock roof, but made the 1/4 window follow the chrome roof molding curvature ..He also told me what the roof molding came from...(Buick Cabellero ... maybe..???.) Ya gotta remember ,I'm working with a 72 y/o brain..!!!
I know the car was featured in several mags after it was finished.... (Street Rodder possibly 2010 ??)

The door looks short and there is no wing vent. I think it's a 4 door with about a foot of the rear door sectioned out and the rear sail panel extended .

Thanks for all the replies. It seems the door length is stock, but its the rear window mystery.

Looks like a four door hardtop roof with a two door hardtop window, if that's possible.

I'm going to have to agree that its a 57 olds roof but with the original chevy back window and some filling in on the C pillar.

I've seen this car at a goodguys car show before, it is definitely a 2 dr hardtop with the original roof. It just had the c pillar filled in and the grille was upside down.

I really looked awful sitting beside a stock 2dr hardtop.

I believe it has had some metal added to it but I think the rear section of this roof started life as a 1958 Buick Four Door (see attached).

sometimes doing things to be "different" is aahh,,... difrent....

  30. 56 isn't my favorite year of the tri fives, but if the car was built with more of a 60's vibe I think the roof would be Ok. Because of the overall look of the car as it sits, the roof and the rest of the mods don't work for me.
