1936 Ford Front Splash Panel Mounting Question??

recently bought a 36' Sedan, front splash panel was included but not mounted on the car, does it mount between the grille and fender esxtensions or behind the fender extensions?

You might post this on Ford Barn. Same format as HAMB, but stock early Ford guys there. Somebody there will have the answer.
