History Beauty in the Beholder

I have been curious lately what people think is beautiful but you always read it is ugly. Like I have heard the Edsel is one of the top ugly cars but they are very beautiful cars to me. Anyone else can name a car you hear is ugly but is beautiful in your eyes?

 

1938 Standard Ford. I like the art deco look but many think they're ugly

 

I remember a time when 37 Fords were considered ugly ducklings,fact is I thought the same thing back in the early 70's.

At that time all the cars sat high and all four tires hung out in breeze,,then some ingenious hot rodder dropped one on the ground and tucked the tires under the fenders and my perception of the homely old 37 Ford did a complete 180.

BTW,,no offense intended but I still think Edsel's are still near the top on my list. HRP

 

1961 Dodge and Plymouths were thought to be odd looking.... I just think they were ahead of their time, but time went in a different direction after they came out.

Ive never seen an Edsel, cant get past that fugly grill to look at the rest of the car.

 

Early Valiants with the fake spare tire in the deck lid.

 

I used to think Hudson Jets were ugly, but now adays I even see potential in those.

 

Cars are like women.... they are all beautiful, just some are moreso than others

 

How about the 1938 - 1940 and then 1941 Graham

 

AMC Marlin. Never liked them.
