Mercury door latches????

Im starting to work on my 50 Mercury again and collecting parts. I have the original latches. Should I rebuild them or go with some bear claws? What are your experience with either one?

 

Shoebox Chris should have or can find door latches. I'd stick with the stockers.

 

The latches seem to last forever. Just give them a good cleaning and grease them up. The strikers are what usually get destroyed. They sell those new from a few different places.

 

Use the stockers.

 

had a 50 merc in the 80s & into the90s ----never had any latch troubles
