Very sad news. Sonny was a true inspiration. Prayers for the ones who knew him best. Godspeed Sonny, may you rest in pease. Thank you for the skill of your hands and the whimsical way you made your brushes do their thing.
This is very sad for many Sonny had inspired me a lot since I have got to know him over the years here and eventually meeting up with him at the Florida shows. He was an outstanding all around artist who will be missed by many. RIP Sonny
Sonny,..... a great guy and a great artist. The only one Ed Roth trusted Rat Fink with.... Sonny will be deeply missed. I can only imagine the conversation Ed, Norm and Sonny are having ! So long Sonny,.... Fair winds and following seas my friend.
Sonny DePalma had kicked my ass 18 years ago at the Easy Rider bike show in Columbus Ohio with his outstanding creations . His work was absolutely genius, flawless and without question, some of the best airbrush work I had ever seen to that date. I was struck dumb by his detail and immediately became a fan. I had talked with him a couple of times on the internet but unfortunately for me, I never had the pleasure of talking with him in person. Everyone who makes a living with an airbrush owes a nod to Sonny, he was an innovator and a trend setter and I for one will miss seeing his future works. He set the bar high for the next generation, we can only wait to see if they are up to the challenge. RIP Sonny, you were one of the best.
