I recently picked up what appears to be a Dodge 3 window coupe. It's in pretty good shape with rust-through in 1 spot on the front of the cowl. It has no doors, rumble lid, or title. while trying to identify this body, I learned there are a few variations of the Coupe in '29. I'm not sure what exactly I have, or even if it is a '29 Dodge. Any input would be much appreciated!
I am not seeing that odd cowl beltline that runs up the A pillar...in some random books here. I have a Dodge book, but it must be at the shop.
This looks very much like the dodge my buddy brought home he said it is a 29 but has windows rear of the doors. His came with 2 frames fenders doors and decklid. His is pretty rusty.Tried to put in photo but it wont let me. Al
That looks more like an Essex the belt line I agree is not like a Dodge . There is a double bead at the belt line on my 1929 Dodge and there are vents on the side not the top of the cowl . It could be earlier than 1929 though. Rob

Thanks for all the input! I'm definitely skeptical on it being a '29 Dodge. I did find this and this, which lead me to believe it could be!
I emailed a technical advisor from Dodge Brothers Club, and he confirmed that it is a 1929 Standard Six. This is a rare car! I wish I had the deck lid, and doors. I'm haven't decided if I'm gonna keep it or sell it yet. Thanks for all the help!
There were only 75,000 standard sixes built between '28 and '29. Parts will be hard to find. Good luck with it.
Could be a cool coupe.. I think you could adapt some other model and/or brand of doors and fab a deck lid...
Thank you! I really do like the look of this coupe, I think it could be a cool build! I have a set of doors that came with the whole lot I bought. Not sure what they are though. I could probably make them work if I really wanted to. any ideas what they are?
