I started reading this thread months ago and lost it after getting to where you moved into the second shop, glad I found it again, amazing work!

How much is your grill chopped? Proportions on it (as well as the rest of the car) are dead-on. Which radiator did you end up with? Also, what tire sizes are you running? Planning on 600/750-16s currently, want a fairly square setup, yours looks perfect.

    So much awesome, inspiring work!

Since nobody answered your question I will give it a shot. On the ones we did at the bottom of the weld in "tubes" there are two hole one on the side to drain water and one in the middle.

Antennas came with a "stud" on the bottom side and the wire for the radio connection ran through the middle.

You would do all the steps including welding in the tubes and then you would slide the "stud" end with the wire down to the bottom of the tube and the wire and "Stud" would come out the hole in the bottom of the tube.

The stud sometimes had moveable "ears" so you could swivel them up so they would fit through the hole. Once they are sticking out the bottom the ear then swiveled up and a nut was tightened on the stud and the ears would pull up tight to the bottom of the tubes holding everything in place.

Thanks everyone! Sorry I've been occupied at work :(

Thanks a bunch! Yes I hav 600's up front and 750's in the back. Grill is chopped 2.5", it's needs to drop an inch on it's mounts to sit right. The radiator is a cheapo mustang one with the necks modified...

This is pretty much spot on. :)

It seems like I've been subscribed here forever, but this AM I got the courage to "view all" again and flash-forward thru your build for a good review. I just love it. Gary

Sweet, thank you. I was planning on around 3" grill chop - bobbed frame horns and only grill out front. Looks like 2-3" will be dead on. So much better than stock height IMO.

So I'm about to tear into this guy for body/paint reasons. I figured I'd have a last go around town with my brother in law. Before I put it away I asked him to video it cause I've never seen it in motion.

Then I parked it and started taking some stuff out. Then I got side tracked with the exhaust. I'm obsessed with this one car I saw on Kustomrama. It's over on the Channeled Hot Rods thread. Here it is, it's so awesome.

So Out came the hole saw and some shitty autostore pencil tips combined with some nice old bezels and wham!

Now to yank the body and go to town..

Exhaust looks great! Good eye on that detail! Rest of the coupe looks very good as well. Good luck with your sanding/filling/blocking/painting.

Exhaust through the rear panel fits your car perfectly - nice touch!

I would do it- I think with everything you've done thus far it would look fantastic- I'd even change the scoops to old style bell air cleaners- really- to do an interpretation of something like this- sometimes the interpretation turns out better than the original-Once you get it painted you'll probably be happy to have cycle fenders on it just to protect that paint-

I even love the bumper treatment on that lil roadster.

I've been thinking about cutting down some 49 Plymouth bumpers I have for my pickup- ( I have some 37 car bumpers too) and I might run full 16" caps- I'm getting a couple pairs of caps from my dad- a pair of these full aftermarkets that he calls moons but they have some style to them they're not smooth-

I have some cycle fenders in the making- I want to run those on my 34 with a heavy channel and chop like your coupe... I love this look- and with the black etc. your coupe will look like a tuxedo. Sharp!-
