If Pops wants a pickup bed for hauling a chair to a show he's going to get one.

  3. Any progress on this thing, or have you abandoned hope of building a T roadster that isn't confused with a T-Bucket?

    Yours is looking good.

Here is a 31ish inch bed. I also did not want a short bed as it needs to be longer to balance things out.

(and I just realized I have posted that before....sorry)

  9. Dave's dad should be signing up for the H.A.M.B. so that he can stay in touch and update on the build.

In the meantime, there's a new brake pedal kit from Welder Series... ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1384463807.135652.jpg

And here it is welded together.

    Slow and steady progress.

  12. That's a really nice thought and suggestion. The 23 is much closer to completion and I think that's the one that will be getting the jump to be done by next July (Dave's birthday). Let me talk to Tim/point out this thread and see what's needed.

I know off the top of my head that the front juice brakes need parts. I know Dave had drums and backing plates, but he was planning on getting shoes, cylinders, etc. this winter.

By the way, apparently the engine is done and ready to fire up. The headers are hanging up from the rafters right now, and will be getting strapped to the motor to see how things sound.

AJ, when it comes time for upholstery tell Tim to get in touch with me. I'll offer up what I can.

  14. Very generous Brent. I'll definitely let him know. Thanks as well. :)

Oh no. This has been one of the builds that has pushed me and helped me along. The last two pages tell me something bad has happened. So sorry to hear that. Keep the build going.

  18. A little more progress last night. The engine is finished and assembled. It's at the shop and might be firing up and broken in later on this week. I'm hoping for a video of that. The headers that Tim built from a GearDrive kit have been finished and hanging from the rafters for a while.
What Dave never took a picture of and posted, were the homemade baffles that got made for the headers. I don't have a picture of them on their own, but Tim stuffed them in the headers last night for a final test fit.

Then he glass packed them. They're ready for the motor now.

So glad to see that Dave's car is going to be finished.

  29. I've been neglecting to update. A few small things...

First off, the rear end came out to adjust the pinion angle. When it went back in, the rear bones were a bit too long. So they got shortened up, and now everything is in place.

Currently, the front motor mounts are in the frame. There is a rear transmission mount mocked up, but there is concern about the bellhousing cracking due to unsupported weight. So the plan is to add a transmission mount at the bellhousing...

    Something like this:

A few more pictures of the homemade baffles...

And as I mentioned before, the motor is finished at the shop. It's on the test stand, and is hopefully going to get fired up and broken in tomorrow!
