Thanks everyone. I like this thread too. It really is about real people, real cars, as they were. Damned I lived it. As for that photo "driving on Daytona Beach near the pier", we moved to Florida in 1994. Seems like around 2000 they stopped people from driving on that part of the beach and other sections because of bathers being run over and other stupid things because as we got older we forgot how to look around. The blame was on the drivers and the beachgoers. Sort of like those Walmartians who just step out without looking!
Thanks very much for all the pictures! It took me about 3 days to get through them all but it was very much worth it. I'm truly amazed at the number of pictures of cars w/ wives, girlfriends, kids, etc., standing on the hoods or tops. I know that cars were lots sturdier when I was a kid but I don't remember the old lacquer paint being all that tough. Anyhow, thanks. again for all the effort of the posters.
