    Looking for a 1953 olds driveshaft yolk, 16 spline, 1 3/8 in wide. Anyone have one or know a good place to get one? Driveshaft places here in town want me to supply it. Thanks for any help!

    53...what trans, as there were 3;

    one is standard shift

    one is the Hydramatic

    last is the Buick Dynaflow that was rushed into Olds cars when the Hydramatic plant burned down in 53.

    Ross might have one.

    I can come up with olds part numbers if you tell me which trans. Not sure a number will help find one.

    Try FlatTop Bob @ Owens Salvage. He is a member here and also an Alliance vendor.

    got the book out;

    52-53, with 53 being the first series 53 trans; series 53-0 and 53-R is number 5665982

    or

    52 2nd series trans which is 53-RA; number 5667191

    you should get the tag number off the trans to be sure, as there are A/T yoke changes almost every year in the 50s.
