    Roy;

    You live in California, I live in Ohio, in a 4 hour drive here you see 4 different seasons...:D:):(:mad:

    65 comet;

    SIX GUN;very true!In that four hour drive for me I could very well see four seasons as you have to climb up and over the mountains on I5 which quite often is closed due to snow and/or high winds!! ROY.

    SIX GUN;thanks for the photos!! The last set is of Gary and Bill Williams 64 Comet,SS/MA,289 C-4,car has run in the 10s but they have it calmed down some.The Comet has been a National Record Holder over the years,but the Chevy guys cry so much to NHRA that they just run in SS for fun!! I worked for years to get them to build me a Legal SS combo,they always talked me out of it [ probably for the best ] !!! ROY.

    That last picture of Dyno Don's Cyclone shows how those old race cars got modified in order to stay competitive!! ROY.

    The way Dyno Don & Snake Jones cut that car up is why Mercury wouldn't let the other 65 AFX be chop up because it didn't represent what Mercury was trying to sell. I seen that Dino AFX Comet before it was Restored! The VIN after it was restoted wasn't the same as the VIN as 1965!! You tell me what happened? ~~~AFX DAVE~~~

    Dave;I'm sure you read the arguments on the "RESTORED" Dyno Don Comet!! I can see NO way the Comet could have been repaired to "LIKE NEW" without a rebody,there was not much left of the original car by the time it was dumped in a side yard,left to rot! JMO , ROY.

  28. I think there was two different conversations going on... These were not meant to be Dyno's, they are the Hawaii cars from 65afxcomet that I posted for him.

    I'd like to set record straight on my 65a/fx . It's not a factory authorized a/fx , but it was a factory b/fx originally . Pflueger L/M had Stroppe convert it to a/fx before delivery to hawaii.

    Post some pictures of what it looks like now! And the MR 289 picture is the one that I found on the wall of the shop where I had my 289 engine rebuilt for my 64 Cyclone...which just happens to be related to yours...
