Thanks, it's the loading dock of an old hardware warehouse in downtown Milwaukee.

Looks like many of the buildings in the 3rd ward with those old beams.

The Betty Lou 51 shoebox HT was a big hit with the locals at the Ogunquit Beach ME car show !!!
Had more stuff n a Xmas turkey !!!

To be fair The event was billed as a Classic Car Show & Craft Fair and I needed an excuse for another ride to the beach. Amidst the Auburn boat tails, Jags, & muscle cars was this chopped shoebox Vicky with a fuzzy steering wheel cover and Elvis in the trunk. Truth be told I like many others spent more time viewing this provocative Ford than any other car there. I've posted this under the mild custom thread with tongue in cheek and in fairness must disclose that I once too had a flamed shoebox with triple lakers and bubble skirts loaded with pinstripes....& people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones & I was so much younger then.

  7. The only thing the Betty Lou shoebox doesn't have is good taste!

I've never seen that side trim before (on the '51 Lincoln). I'm glad I don't need to find a set of that stuff.

Wow, ive just spent my spare time over the last week reading this thread from one end to another, so many amazing cars.

I started reading hoping to find some pics of mild custom late 30's cars, there aren't many in all these pages, is there another thread for them or does any one have any to add here?

    Cheers
