  15. We muscle on through after that and made it back to LA at 4:30am. We had a lot of fun and the Riv ran great. We left a few sparks along the way bumping the exhaust but, no issues at all. To do that much work in 5 days and then drive it from Dearborn, Mi to LA. I'm very proud of My Dad, Charlie, George, Dave and myself. There's a lot of history and Blood, sweat and tears in this car an I couldn't be happier and more proud. Thank you everyone.
I have it a bath yesterday and went to the Friday night car show at Bobs Big Boy in Toluca Lake. They have one every Friday. There are some regulars that are there every Friday but also a lot of different cars. It's never the same which is really cool. If you're ever on Toluca lake/ Burbank area on a Friday night... Stop there. It's a lot of fun. Here's a few pics

  17. Awesome! Glad to hear you made it with no problems. Nice work!

  18. No issues. The Riv ran really really strong. A few scrapes along the way. Kinda made me pucker up in the seat but, over all, it was a lot of fun. And cheaper than I thought it would be. Until I hit California. 5 bucks a gallon Premium. I'm going to make a few carb adjustments and some fresh Rotella- T oil and it'll be perfect.

  20. And anyone looking for 63-65 Riv parts. Riviera Dan (Dan Jackson) is the man to talk too. He hooked us up with all the parts we need and he's fair. A really good guy. I saw his garage for the first time while in Dearborn. It's like I died and went to Riviera parts heaven!!! He has about 7 rivieras. The 4 or 5 parts cars are gran sports. TONS of parts all through the garage. If we needed the parts, a lot of times we get there and he would already had pulled it off for us. If you need parts, get a hold of him. 313-516-1289

  27. Thanks MT,
It was a lot of fun and really cool that I got to it all with my old man and some good people. A lot of work in five days. I still have to do some small things but, other than that... It runs and drives great. Gotta watch it over bumps. I scrap on everything.

My first Rivi that I had in '79 was like that. Hated the crowned roads. Had to drive on the slope. It had 235-60s (GR-60) tires all around and they scraped bad. The guy I got the car from did the torch trick on the springs. Pretty getto.

They sure look cool though. thanks for the tip on the wheel size. 15x6 seemed right for that low. I have 15x7 wires and they rub too much. I also have 225-75 tires.
