I apparently put the cart before the horse, posting a topic before an introduction. .. Ive always loved the old Fords, I've had several 60's mustangs, galaxies, a fairlane or 2 that I mainly drove some, never done any major modifying or anything. I bought a 1968 F100 Ranger a couple years ago for a project, long bed, 390, 3 on the tree. Done a lot of cleaning on it, some minor repairs and drove it to work some. The 390 was getting tired and I was getting tired of messing with the 3 speed linkage. Sold the motor and tranny and installed a mildly built 1991 5.0 attached to a 5 speed from a 1998 Mustang.
