I suppose your probably done by now so how about a few walk around shots and video of the first drive.:)
A few years ago I built a small english wheel, bought a shot bag and started pounding on sheet metal. My regret is that I didn't find this interest when I was young and arranged to apprentice under an established master. Too late for me to become more than a slightly gifted amature but I still grab a hunk of sheet metal from time to time and duplicate a patch when I can't buy one.
    Keep posting your progress.

    Thanks all!

I am in no way gonna pat myself on the back on this forum. There is a lot of damn impressive talent in here and I am humbled knowing all of you came over to check my stuff out. I only started shaping sheet metal a little over a year ago. I started with a couple of small patches and simple grill shells and just worked up to bigger patches. I have no training other than watching random online videos. Every panel teaches me something new. I bet I do the panels on the drivers side completely different just from what I learning on the passenger side.

If anyone has any questions I will answer them to the best of my ability..

    Great work so far Ronnie

I love this^^^! - to everyone who always wanted to learn metal shaping, that is all there is to it really, no matter what equipment you have at hand. Put in the time, be prepared to make mistakes, and pay attention to what the metal is telling you in every process you do to it....

How often do you have a random panel laying around that fits this well? Hell with it, I am using it. If you are wondering it is the inside panel from a 41 Chevy truck. I chopped the truck and was asked not to put the inside panel back in.

The machine I use is a lennox metalmaster. It is a reciprocating machine that hammers whatever shape I decide to make the dies into the metal that goes through them.
