Imagine running 9.0’s at 165 MPH in this back in 1972 ? This is the first time this car has been out of storage and seen daylight in 42 years. Amazing. Even with the rain late this afternoon, stuff like this still make it a great day.
Really looking forward till tomorrow. Should be a perfect day.

I went to the Columbus one as well, liked Bowling Green better. It was to hot with nowhere to hide at Columbus, Bowling Green you had the overhead canopies on the stands plus I was able to camp right next door.Columbus we stayed at the host hotel, but it was a ride getting to the track.Still glad I went to it, just glad it's back in Bowling Green.I wanted to make this one in New Hampshire but I spent to much time on the Pontiac getting it ready for Lake George I didn't have time to work on the 55 Chevy. Next year.

Day 3, great day. The scent of nitro everywhere, lots more cars in show and shine. This was the best custom I saw. Sectioned '49 Olds convertible, with a Northstar V8 converted to rwd mated to a Geirtag six speed. Nice car.

Next year we have to do a HAMB tent. I live in Newmarket, maybe 10 minutes from track. Would have liked to meet all the local HAMB guys but with so much real estate full of great vehicles, it didn't happen.

No..This not the original. The guy who built and owns this version is from Massachusetts. He saw the original car run at Fremont in the sixties, and it left a big impression on him...

I have an extra inaugaral 50 page hot rod reunion program from the event. We are moving again (ughh!) and I sure don't need more "stuff". First pm with your snail mail address and I'll send it on. (random act of HAMB friendliness).

Thanks for the pics. I'll have to post some of mine, but looks like you posted mostly all of the same cars i took pics of! haha
I agree, that Blown Hell 55 is so badass! I missed it's exhibition passes but i wish i could have seen it run! We'll be back next year for sure! So many cool cars that came out of the woodworks for this one!

Here is a great moment. "Pussy Galore" owner John Martin (right) with original owner Dick Michaud. They hadn't seen each other since the car changed hands in 1968.
