Got to give credit where credit is due. Bob Hilton built me a bitchin Chopped Coupe (roller).

Approx 5" chop, 32 Z'd chassis, Richmond Quick Change rear, 4 point roll bar, Walden roof insert, cowl mounted steering, 40 Ford drums on all fours, 7.50 R & 4.50 F bias ply on 40 Ford steel rims. 36 Ford dropped front axle (old school) with split wishbones. Pete & Jakes ladder bars. Front & rear transverse springs. F1 front shock mounts and lower headlight bar with Commercial headlights. 32 grille shell & insert.

Metal work fab and finishing is very impressive! Now it is my turn to get to work and put the finishing touches on this roller.

Great car Joe. I have been watching Bob build it all along. He does great work both on chassis and the metal work. You have a super beginning to a neat car. Lots of old school parts on that front end and I dig the steering set up.

  5. I'm liking the look,,if you get busy on it now you should be riding by spring. HRP

Wow,does that car ever look tough and mean....looks like its in motion even when it's parked, with no motor in it.
Congratulations, and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing you take this car from Roller to Runner..!

Wow..awesome start. That is the same setup as the one I've been building in my head. Can't wait to get to that point. I'll be watching to see which direction you take it in.

Coupe is setup for a BBC and TH400. Got a dual quad setup for the engine, not sure if I will use it, or just stay with the single 4bbl.

Thinking about color. Anybody have suggestions for a Lakester, traditional era Coupe? Leaning heavily towards going with shiny paint.

Been working the Coupe. Took it apart. Sprayed expoxy primer on the inside, outside, and underside of the body. Almost finished body work. Sprayed doors and cowl in high build primer, ready for block sanding.

Been working hard on the Coupe. Getting close to the end of the final assembly. Mostly little tasks left on the list prior to start and test drive.
