    Nice job. My youngest was welding about that age. They have a better eye and steadier hand than us old dudes. And some say the hobby is dieing..........

    Me too! I bought my lectric welder from Sears in 1964 and still use it. But love the wire welders.

    Good to see a kid interested in this stuff.

    Nice job, glad to see him learning. Around my area, if someone saw you allowing your son to participate in such a "dangerous" activity, Child Services would be taking the kid(s) and have you clamped in irons.

    I've read that the KEY thing in raising a kid to be successful, is to find something that interest them and to help and encourage them down that path. Sounds like he's on a good road! Good on you dad.
