I helped set this event up forMSRA Rick has come since the first ,along with many other a/ fuel guys for us to watch on there own dime , And I want to thank them all we give them a place to run and they come just like Rick has for years there is no appearance money it just for love of racing I,m glad and priviliged to have been with Rick and crew at wentsville and here at MSRA/SSFR I wish we could see more but I know it costs a lot to run a big number car one of our other a fuel altererd lost a motor and I feel bad cause he could have been at cordova but he chose SSFR as Rick and crew did THanks Opie and crew and every body else that made the 2013 Super Secret Fun Run a success thank you all see ya 2014 Gord Schwarz

Here's a pic I took this year. Doesn't show much of the engine. I stood behind the car back from the starting line for some of his runs. It simply goes down the track like a good dragster should.
Gordy, the SSFR is the best MSRA event of the year. Thank you so much for keeping it alive.

Gord, the SS/FR is a great time but Minnesota needs a H.A.M.B./Meltdown Drag style event and BIR would be the perfect place for it you guys should get on that!

Congratulations to the Schnell family! What a great video.

Here's two more photos of the "Sliders" dragster.

A big thanks to Gordy for making the SSFR possible.

I just got some videos uploaded and this seems to be the perfect thread to ad them to.

I still can't get over the fact that it's a flathead making all that noise.

Yes it does, You can sort of see the girdle on the bottom side in this shot. It is very similar to the one Flathead Jack sells. Flathead Fords may only have 3 mains, but they are very large bearings and can support more then meets the eye.

Does anybody know what size the engine is (now)? I thought it was a '49 block (239) that has been filled and runs solid heads. So it is a 304" or bigger?

One other really fast Flathead is Martin & Rea from New Zealand.
Flathead powered dragster runs 8.2 sec @ 159mph on alcohol.:D!
