Event Coverage Ocean Park Ford- Photos

Great pictures Don, good to see you again.
The Ocean Park show is probably the best in the lower mainland for traditional Hot Rods, and Ron donates all the proceeds to charity, so it is well supported.

 

The delivery could have been yours. Ron has several older rods in his collection. Some built by old names in the hobby such as Andy and Roy Brizio, Bo Jones, Bill Denny and Lou Hislop to mention a few. A really nice collection. Pat

 

I was thinking the same thing! Can't believe I forgot when it was!

 

I still cant believe I forgot. I am at work now, its even written on my desk calender. CRAP!!!

 

The dates for the show have always been about the 15th of September, it was moved up this year as Ron is going to be road tripping with an old buddy.

 

Thats probably what threw me off. But you would think I would remember once I'd written it down. I'm gonna chalk it up to premature senility...

 

Don & HemiDuece, I am going to the Port Coquitlam deal this weekend, not real HAMB friendly, but its close to home, and a good family outing. I'd rather go to the Hougan Park deal, but PoCo will be more fun for my wife and daughter(live bands, face painting, bla, bla, bla). I will be going to the Tri-five club picnic in Aldergrove first weekend of September, are either of you going to that?

 

Going to do the show in Ladner on Sunday because it's close, but would prefer Hogan Park.
Not sure of the Sept weekend yet.

I have been wondering the same thing. I can't find any info either. I had thought about calling the dealership but that hasn't happened yet.

 

I called the dealership, the show is on September 14

I hope someone posts lots of pictures of this year. I noticed a couple of familiar rides from back when I grew up there (questionable if I have grown up). Makes me very home sick, but nostalgic.

I wish! I'll be driving my wifes toyota. When it gets close, I'll send you a pm, and we can make arrangements. Or maybe we should use this thread to organize a HAMB meet and greet deal?

 

Don and I should recognize each other (maybe not, the last time we saw each other face to face was what? maybe 20 years ago at the track??) but we should definetaly figure out a meeting spot. I'll be at the Tri-Five picnic in Aldergrove as well.
I just realized, I should be easy to spot, I'll have my 4 yr old daughter with me. Just look for a fat 52 yr old with sandals, a friar tuck haircut and a little girl.

A bunch of use usually meet at the small cafe across the street for breakfast about 8:00 to 9:00, if that works for you.

 

I cant head over that early, my wife leaves for work around 9:30, and we have the kid, so that wont really work out. Let me think about it, its not that far from my place, maybe I'll walk over. Failing that, we will sort something out, for sure. I want to meet up with a few of you guys.
