What Chrysler top to use on a toploader??

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by nailhead29A, Aug 24, 2013.

  1. Anyone out there know the specific make, model and year Chrysler top that bolts onto the good ol Ford toploader? I was told it was an early 80's Cherokee but need to be a little more specific than that before I start the hunt for one.
Does anyone on here have one they want to part with?

  3. Your a champion mate, thankyou. Just printed it out now the hunt is on to track one down.

  4. Anyone know who I can contact to get hold of a complete top assembly?

  5. Probably a Jeep or AMC specialist, since they didn't become Chrysler until 1987 or so.

Have one in my 40. Had a toploader 3 speed with T-150 shifter and it worked like a charm but decided to upgrade to a 4 speed. Had to do some hunting to find the T-176 shifter assembly because they are sought after. When I finally found one it needed new forks which are easy to come by. Good luck
