+1 I can't come up with a better answer than that one.

I have a chronic case of "maybe it would be cooler if I". and that usually keeps my projects from ever being "done" even if I am driving the wheels off them on long distance road trips.

  6. Yep! Nick Adams as the Rebel, Johnny Yuma. Someone that you don't see many pictures of.

I've never had a completely 'finished' car, and not sure I ever will, so I doubt I have anything good to add to your list. :)

I'd probably just drive it and wait for it to break. I don't know if I'll ever own a car that's finished. I just always see how I could have done things better.

The only car I can conceive of being 'done' with is one you would got to Hollywood Hotrods and write a six figure check for. Then you wouldn't really enjoy it at it's fullest anyway.

My 57 is closest I've ever had to a finished car. But even that has been done piece by piece over the period of many years.

To me, a car is DONE when it is freshly assembled and all parts are either new or refurbished, fresh paint, new chrome, reliable and turn key. Then the car is done.

Then it's time to move onto the next project.

It's never finished... After I finish I start another project and Keep driving the "old ones" =D

  14. Drive it, then look for the next project. It's a endless cycle.

tudorfritz you beat me to it. It's an addiction, finish or nearly finish and look for the next.

    Finished?! what is that?

My car will be finished the day they finish painting the Golden Gate bridge.

My target isn't to finish it but to get it driving and in regular use. I can then continually tweak it whilst enjoying it.

I recall an old saying...perfection is the enemy of progress.

Drive it for a year, then rip it apart, then get bummed and start a new project.....pretty sure that's a sign of something really askew with me....
    ....not a good thing

I don't at all enjoy my cars when I'm finished. I cant even think of a car I finished that I drove more than 3 or 4 times. It just does not interest me.

    Done...?
The only cars that are "done" are like Riddler contestants etc.
...And then you can't drive 'em!

Finished? That's when, to me, I am probably ready to start driving something else!

Done? They're never done! There's always de-bugging, maintenance or upgrades on the garage dry-erase board. The only way a fellow is done with a car is when he watches it drive down the street with a new owner!

Nothing says bored like the guy shopping in the auto parts store accessory aisle.:D I'm hoping WWW's will be the last big thing I buy for my T Bucket. Yet, in reality, I hope it's never done. I also know, that if I THOUGHT it was, I'd put forth more effort on collecting parts for the one I want to do next.

"Nick Adams as the Rebel, Johnny Yuma. Someone that you don't see many pictures of." That show comes on here in Houston on Saturday mornings. I loved the reruns as a kid and still watch it when I can. Cool show.
