1936 California License plate??

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by roll of the dices, Aug 20, 2013.

  1. I am in the market for set of 1936 California license plates. I am thinking of adding them to my truck...I can't seem to find a commercial plate for 1936...is there such thing.

I've noticed two sequences, one that starts with a number and a letter. The other sequence is a number follow by another number....is there a difference between the two?

For sequences I've seen them going from 1 to 8 as the first number. Safe to assume the higher the number the later the car was registered in that year???

    Thank you

Isn't California issuing "vintage" style plates with modern numbers? I saw one on a car recently but don't know the deets.
