Been a bad summer car wise for me...was thinking of camping with the family Saturday night near there. Anyone know of a fun family type campground with a lake ?
There are a few places within a short drive from Gilmores. Yankee Springs is a state park about 20 miles north near Hastings. Look up HAMB member flynbrian48 while your there Sat. He is a member of the tin can tourists and they go everywhere. He'll give you a lot of ideas
Will be getting there Friday night in our white patina 61 Cadillac! I'll be entering the pinup contest this year... And getting the Cadie pinstriped
Gun Lake has a campground. There are many lakes around there, but I do not think they all have campgrounds.
Don't remind me, had the wrong dates and scheduled a family camping trip over it . I'll be there in spirit.
Forget the state park at Gun Lake, it's always full on weekends. You MIGHT get a site at the Deep Lake campgrounds, it's rustic (no electric), but very pretty. Also check the state park at Fort Custer between Augusta and Battle Creek, I believe they keep "walk-in" sites open... Brian

This year I am picking the spot "lowelife". The last two years we got the yahoo screaming at 4:00 am and the the dancing fools until 1:00 am! LOL Always something to see at the Relix Riot!
Camping on the grounds is free the night before a show. There is limited electric hook up if you have camper, but lots rustic camping space. Brian
