Hi Guys, I am new to this forum having just bought a T Speedster. It is a 26 T built by the late Vic Sala of California. I have attached some pictures which I hope will come out.

Alright so I found that the rocky mountain brakes are not aligned quite right, have been wearing funky and are pretty much gone on one part of the brake lining.... so I need to figure out why they are doing this... are they out of round?

They look brand new on the tops....

Oh and clayton it has '24 T running gear, the only thing that is '26 is the firewall... so that means those bands are going to be REALLY fun to replace.

My original linings did the same thing, because they tend to pull tightest at the bottom...just how they are. It also is a result of the crap lining material they used on the repop Rocky-Mountain brakes.

When mine wore out, I had them relined with quality oil\water resistant bonded industrial lining material. To date they show no real signs of wear.

I think the '24 hogshead is bigger, like '26-'27.....it's the '22 and earlier hogsheads that are crampt and a pain to switch bands in.

Agreed, Quick-Change bands are a must....but can still be a pain in those early hogsheads (1922 and before)...no room at all.
