Sure looks like the same car, but it has been gone through and looks much better!

It looks just as heavy in the second video as it did in the first.

Looks like it could be but Its had a repaint with body work on the bottom, new seat covers,a lot of clean up and detailing.

I guess honest John in the second video didnt do the body work or the seat covers because he says he cant see any bondo or signs of rust and the seat covers "look" original.

The point is honest John is a classic car specialist. He would know what he was looking at, and suggests that the car is original.

I would suggest he is totally aware of all of the resto work which has been performed. Fresh paint under the hood & new seat trim are pretty obvious on a 60year old car.

Things are often not as they seem. :)

Sure looks like the same vehicle, with new roof paint, the dash pad replaced, seat repaired, new air cleaner, and even the tiny ding the previous owner mentioned in his walk around.
Maybe the new seller doesn't know, but I bet he does, even though he continually stresses it's "all original".

  11. I didn't bore myself with the whole eight minutes of sales pitch .. but you have to listen to his his exact words ... "I do not see any .. yada, yada" ... just because he doesn't see it does not mean he doesn't know that it has been done.

I avoid dealing with salesmen like the plague ... and see right through their BS.

If Sarasota Classic Cars and Sarasota Museum are at the same address, which it looks to be, WATCH OUT. He don't run a tight ship. He is a typical Used car salesman looking to make a buck. Museum in the front and fixit shop in the back. Talks a great story.

And at 3:19 he states "a brand new battery" which is false. Instead of here, you should call him out publicly on You Tube regarding the old battery by posting a comment on his You Tube post and including a link to the video of the unrestored car. I'd guess the "new hoses, belts, pmps may also not be new.

My first thought was he's doing these sales vids in hopes of selling the car sight unseen (in person) to an out of state or foreign buyer (like Australia).
Sure enough at 8:00, he says "we do a lot of foreign sales"...

I thought about commenting on YouTube, however I have done this before. They just delete your comment and ban you from commenting.

Flat top...hahaha, code word for 4 door.

I'd think someone deeply entrenched in the airbag world would surely pay whatever the asking price is so they could lay some Caddy frame...

The Flat Top is very different to the normal four door body. Much rarer also.

Dimadee, I was doubtful at first but after looking at all the evidence I see your point.
You are one observant guy! Too bad these guys don't advertise vin numbers.
