Planning Bonneville

So I am making my plans for speed week. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a good place to stay somewhere between Reno and Wendover. Maybe Elko or Winnemucca? I usually stay in Boomtown near reno coming and going, but my times are different this year, but a place like boomtown would be great. Thanks!

Ive stayed in Wells before & driven to Wendover. Really you just need Saturday & Sunday, by then Wendover starts to thin out as racers break & go home

 

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm looking for a place to stay Sunday night on my way home. I plan to leave late Sunday so i am only going to get a few hours under my wheels. I am staying at the bend while i am there.

Winnemucca is only two hrs from Wendover. Pilot truck stop or Flying J. See you on the road will be on Ch19 "Fastroadster" Leaving Bay Area Wed.AM driving to Winnemucca spending night then Wendover early next morning. What part of Ca you coming from?

 

I have stayed in Winnemucca on the way to Bonneville. On the way home I stayed in Fernely once. Mostly I just drive home. 11 hours about.

 

I was thinking about staying in Fernley, but a couple of hrs. to Winnemucca what the heck. That way in the morning I only have two hrs. Want to get out on the Salt for Tech and Safety insp. When you leaving Rich?

 

Thursday morning around 5. Non stop.

 

That is really fast. It's 233 miles from Winnemucca to Wendover.

 

115 MPH ?????? hahahhaahaha

 

The races are on the salt not on i80

After Reno the police hide in very possible spot on 80, believe me I know. Now days a speeding ticket is about the price of a plane ride from SFO to Hawaii.
