I've always liked the horizontal bars in a '56 Olds grill.

Nicer the big Buick & Olds than a tri-5 IMHO. Still has a king pin F/E.

I'm having some flashbacks. It's really cool to be able to do the work yourself and then share it with other people to inspire them. I used www.rustbullet.com on my floorboard. Are you using the original engine and trans ?

  28. when i bought it from a old lady it didnt have the engine or trans in it..but her husband that had passed on had got a 455 olds and what looks like a 400 trans..but they both have to be rebuilt...when i got the car the trans was in the trunk and the engine just sitting under the hood on a wood block..it will be pretty intresting to figure out what to do to put that in..i know it can be done..but im a newby...i keep reminding myself focus on one thing at a time:eek:

  29. Murch..i did the steering wheel with PC-7 i got from the hardware store..its easy to work with and clean up..the steering wheel was the first thing i restored on the car to get the ball rolling
