Very cool find:) I have a vision on a 27-T Bonneville style, Larsen & Cummings:) Looking forward to see it completed.

So from watching the film, does it seem that the PO may have pulled the Ardun and put it in the dragster that was next to it? And why was it replaced with a six?

And did it ever get to race against that mighty '36 Buick sedan? :D

As the story goes the guys that originally built the car wanted to build a rail. So they put the Ardun in the rail they built and sold the T with no motor. The next owner put the six in the T and raced it for a few years before putting it away.

This car is all kinds of cool... Love that you're leaving it as-is from the outside, and the flatty looks perfect in there..

That is so cool Dave. I can't wait to see it on the road. Hard to believe that was down here close to me in the Tri Cities! Damn!

  20. That'd be some serious history if it is.
Very cool car either way. Glad it's close enough to home that I may see it in person some time.

Looks very similar, except the hair pins are slightly different but the length and placement is right on.

    Jimmy,

that one looks damn close, but the wishbones are different, could have just made new ones possibly.

  25. cool car, but to me, looking more 60s than 50s....maybe it was put together mid/late 60s, judging by gauges, dash, even the chroming..I could be wrong but that is the sense I get

The video I have of the car racing it says 1958 at the beginning of the video but the car was later sold and modified sometime in the 60's.

Eagle Field looks awesome! A lot of bitchin' cars down there but I have been working on getting the 34 back on the road before moving to the roadster.

This car also looks like it had a dropped axle rather then a tube axle. Look similar though.

Not so sure how I feel about that car being so far away from home but I'm grateful to see it's in good hands, A fair majority of the folks in the vid you posted are still active in the racing and hotrod community most of which are around my dads age or slightly older.
I'd love to know who built that car, if it's somebody that's still in the area then there's a good chance I could put you in touch with them.
Neat hotrod and I love that it'll get to stretch it's legs once again.
