    That is the keep death off the roads principle when a newbie with no tools, no shop, no experience, and no knowledge of cars starts monkeying with 50+ year old brakes.

    If I was there I could figure it out and so could you. I'm just saying this one may be a little too much for a beginner's first job.
     
  4. Reawake the old post.
    I have braking power. Whenever I am able to get her running and over to the mechanic, I'll ask him to get underneath when she's up on a lift and check the brakes and make sure it's all okay. It all gon be k.
