I have been working on my ride for many years. A blessed and busy life with wife, kids and dogs has only allowed an hour or two, here and there over the years to work on it. I did get the green light two years ago, from the boss, and have spent as much time as possible working on this project.....most now in primer.
Long story short....Married to the same awesome lady since '82, we have 3 grown boys. One is a writer, he has a published book out called, Guitar Heroes. One will be going to school to be a film maker. One works for a moving company, and loves my car, he will be driving it on his wedding day. He gives me crap every day its not done, and motivates me to get out there and work. I have been on and off this project for a very long time. I junked the first frame about 6 yrs. ago. and started from scratch. I have kept all the parts I collected over the years, and built a new frame, this time it is a perimeter frame, from 1 1/2" x 3". So, thats my story. I was recommended to this forum by Louverguy, to whom I will be eternally grateful. He is putting some louvers in my hood side panels, and has been a true pleasure to work with. I will learn more on this forum than I can teach, but please understand, I am very thankful to be here. I have plenty of build photos if anyone is interested. I could use some feedback, good or bad. Only a handful of people have seen this thing, of the few that have seen it, don't know what it is.
Thanks for the welcome. I get up your way once in awhile. What are some of local hot spots there? Wednesday night, down town Elmhurst, here.
Welcome! I understand the need to get the Boss' OK for more time on the car. My cars took a back seat in life for about 20 years while the kids were young, but now another twenty more years later I am full time working on my Model A's and '51 Ford. Life can get better as you get older!!
