We are 16+ hours north and it's worth every minute of the trip. We might be the longest tow but certainly not the farthest trip. There were spectators there from Hawaii and New Zealand with the Hawaiian guys planning on bringing a car next year. I also heard there were folks from Spokane Washington but not sure if they came with a vehicle. Unfortunately (for the event) we might have been the only Canadians in attendance. We're working on changing that.

The Scout was not 100% this year with a new blower combination, a wonky torque converter and some serious overheating issues. Really wanted to put on a show this year especially since we had the front end 3 feet in the air a week before, but we never got it to hook consistently over the weekend. (Sorry kids)

    We'll be back.
Planning on low 10's with the Scout (maybe a 9) and a second car.

    Pics are awesome... cheers

thanks for all the great shots !!
so many cool cars, no way to see them all !!
my car was the model A coupe on the trailer.. planned on driving it up (300+ miles)
then race it ,and drive it home.. well.. that's not how it went.. made it about 220 miles, then broke an intake rocker.. scrounged, begged, and looked high and low for a rocker.. no luck,, jeff (one super nice fugitive) brought me a stock one sunday, but it wouldn't work with my wacky valve train..
there is always next year !!
    dang it !!!!!!!!
we still ran the dog snot out of our dragster ,and model A truck.. we got about 30+ runs in between the two. awesome, awesome, awesome !!!!!!best event ever !!

  19. Thanks man. I had hoped to talk with him about how the truck handles on the track with no bed floor. Oh well, maybe I'll run into him at some event.

Was really looking forward to seeing that coupe run but there is always next year. Glad you guys had a good time, and thanks for bringing multiple cars up to the meltdown, you guys are a stand up class act!

ps jeff isn't apart of the fugitives,he's part of the border bandits. The meltdown is now put on by the meltdown association (MDA) not the fugitives
