Please help I.D. These Spindles

    The race is 1 3/4 the spindle length is 5 1/8 from flange to end of threads the backing plate mount holes are 2 7/16 wide and 2 9/16 tall. The kingpin is 3/4 these are being used on a 90's built 34 roadster street rod the customer wants disc brakes. Any help would be great. Thank you

  4. Looks like they may be early Econoline. Been a while but the O-ring on the king pin and the 3/4" diameter sounds right.

    If I remember right the Econoline was the only other spindle option on SuperBell axles other than the Ford and Chev neither of which are the spindles in your pictures.

    Thanks, Jeremy. I wish I could be more help with this. Leave it to me to own a weird front end set up.

    Any advice you guys could give would be much appreciated.

    Look on backs and also on arms for forging number prefixes...It's been a while, but Econolines had some unusual letter in the prefix, I think a U, unusual amongst usual Ford C, T, A...
    As much of the marking as you can see, will ID usage and year of intro. If not Econoline, surely Some Ford light truck.
