Would like some feedback on wheels from Wheel Smith.
Happy with them, quality of them and price.
Thinking about their artillery wheels for my 36.
    Thanks for your input.

  2. I have purchased wheels from the Wheelsmith both thru' their store while on vacation in the US and over the phone from New Zealand. Wheels have been excellent, and the service has been exceptional in both cases. Pricing seems fine too.:)

I was in LA for the roadster show recently and called by their new shop in Corona after 5pm. Even tho' they were havin' a beer, they stopped to take us thru' and gave us a tour of the whole deal.
Looks like they have got a bunch of new stuff in the pipeline, including original appearing early Ford 16" rims with the later lug pattern. I'll be getting some of them soon.;)

Real good guys to deal with!

Thanks for the lead! Wheel shopping this week, and their stuff looks cool. And I really appreciate the wheel measurement form on the web page. Takes the guesswork out of sizing, backspacing etc.

I had them make a Ford repro wheel for my Ranchwagon. Done in a timely manner, great work and pricing was better than some of the others. I'd use them again.

  17. Nothing but great things to say about Bob and his guys. I've bought many wheels from them, including the 14x6 chrome wheels I put on my Skylark. NOBODY had 4 on 4 1/2" wheels! He did!

Great guys who know a lot about wheels. They do custom offsets and warned me about brake caliper hitting the rim at the offset I wanted on this truck. They also found the right color powder coat to match the pic I emailed. They also fit these Dodge hubcaps to the wheels. THAT's service. Only wheel shop I use.

Used them several times and currently I have their gennies on my deuce 3 window and sedan delivery. They fit right and the powder coat finish is excellent!

When a company actually builds their own wheels, they can build anything in a short time and do quality work. When a company has their product made elsewhere they have to sell what they stock and have little control of the quality.

I've never heard anything bad about Wheel Smith. It seems that they take great care to make certain that customers understand how to measure properly to get the correct fit. I've never heard of any crooked or out of balance wheels either.

  29. I would like to see a price list on their website.

Treated me right, I purchased their wheels through Chevy of the 40's initially because of return policy. I gave them a shout saying the order was coming to them. I ended up getting the trim rings from them. They like hearing from HAMB...once I get them mounted I have to send them a picture. We ordered a different back spacing.
