So I traded off my roadster pickup body for a 33 truck cab. Was gonna put that on my a chassis, but I decided that looked funny. Through another negotiation, I ended up with a 27 t coupe on a 32 chassis. Then it hit me! Put the 33 cab on the deuce chassis, and put the t on my model a chassis! Low and behold! The most indecisive project ever! ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1373588459.237041.jpg

So I made a pretty big order from some suppliers, as I'm trying to get it drivable for the flathead reliability run in sept. got to work today on mounting the front shocks. Got these friction style shocks off Eric (cgkid) and decided to forgoe the standard style of bolting them on, and decided they would look better welded. The center stud is welded to the bottom plate, so the assembly is serviceable.

Also mounted the tail lights. Pontiac style baby!

Got to work on my brakes. Ordered in the complete kits for front and rear. First I tore down the backing plates and blasted them. Then some gloss black and hung em to dry.

Next I took the brand new shoes and arced the linings on my old Barrett.
    ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1376209584.276777.jpg

    Then some assembly required.

    ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1376209651.550072.jpg

Did the same for the fronts. Next is to bolt em on and run some lines. Then mount the fuel tank, battery box, shim and gasket the rear end, shorten the driveshaft, wire it, and mod the radiator for a flatly. Plus all the other shit too! Tomorrow is another day.

Looks good man. Marty is a big boy not much room for him to chop it if he wants any head room. Although a little off the top wouldn't hurt. Can't wait to see it

So Iv been playing roulette with front axles. I decided the 32 axle was far too tall. After trying a few, I settled on this one.

I also mounted the fuel tank and pump. Then put the body back one. I'm dropping my rad off tomorrow to get modified.

Been a while since I updated this thread, but here I go. Been thrashing like mad to get this car ready for the flathead reliability run. 150 mile one way is no short little trip, so I got to work. Finished the chassis and put my girly to work painting the body

    Then reassembly and brake lines

    Marty,
I didn't know that you had this!! Very cool!! I've had a thing for T coupes for years and love the looks of this one. Love the wide 5's! Can't wait to see what else you do with it.

Thanks bugsy! Everything is pre 49 on the car. I essentially traded my 28 rpu body for this T coupe. Ended up with a 32 pickup as well

Just saw the craigslist ad. Is the 32 pickup your dream car or did you pick up something else?

So what is taking their place? I was excited to see both of them. Especially after the thrash to get the T done for the vantage run!
