large journal crankshaft

    i have a 69 large journal 327 crank. what is the most that it can be turned with out having problems thanks

    All the way to small bearing size block or until you can't find undersize bearings for the block you are using..

    real crankshaft re pair shops can turn/offset turn/weld it/re harden it /chrome it /plus many other ways i donot know about..........

    Is it a cast iron or forged steel crank????....
    Just curious.....:)

    Whatever you can buy for undersized bearings will determine how far you can get it turned.

    If it is forged, all the journals could be welded and re-ground for standard size bearings....
