wish I had more pics but broke the dang phone, so will have more soon, its really clean (I think anyway) got it for $1500 and its pretty much complete and clean with no rust (haven't found any yet), haven't got it started yet but it cranks over good and sounds like good compression, just no spark, the rotor is busted, hopefully a cap and rotor and it will run :) but I do have a cummins 4bt that I intend to repower it with, but it should be a fun project for me and the woman to do, I cant wait too drive it!

Welcome from Central CA. I put a Volare front suspension in my Dodge truck like yours, then sat an old Dodge Motorhome poly 318 with auto trans on it. With the correct motor mounts and oil pan it slipped right in.
    Good luck!

Welcome. That Cummins Swap is a great idea. I know as I have swapped 6BT into a 48 Ford. I wish you luck with that and I hope we see more of the project but a wrod of warning Diesels are not often seen as HAMB friedly here.

Welcome from a fellow Mopar guy in South Carolina. Consider your skills, tools, equipment, and FUNDS before you start the changeover. You don't want it to be sitting in the corner of the garage for years.

A 4bt in the truck will be really cool! Lots of gears and an overdrive will be your best freinds. That and lots, and lots of sound deadening. I love driving my 4bt.

welcome from Oklahoma! Good plan with the 4bt, that'd be a pretty tough truck and should get pretty good fuel mileage too!!!

  20. welcome to the hamb, just went through the no spark issue on my '53 dodge a week ago. let me know if you want some ideas to fix it. The 4bt swap would make one hell of a truck with a good over drive transmission behind it.

  21. Welcome from Central VA! Take lots of pic of your swap, the 4BT is a great one for our trucks. I might get around to it someday?
