Well I attended an estate sale and picked up a few interesting items that I will probably be selling. 1966 Corvette dash/gauge cluster assy A passing eye mirror what appears to be NOS 1960 Thunderbird Door Script along with many neat door mirrors, door handles, a set of 1958 Cadillac front shocks and some other cool stuff I need to sort thru. Oh yea also scored a 1940 Ford 2 door Sedan. Will be keeping tht for myself!!
I never heard of a passing eye mirror - was gonna ask but I'd be told to google -- so I did: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mQ98oFAxLo Yes I believe that thing would drive me nuts
Cool finds. Never know what might turn up at yard sales/auctions. I recently picked up a complete early Vette pie-pan air-cleaner, and some early Ford scripted wrenches the same way. Stuff's out there.
The passing eye mirror looks to be another obselete item of my life time, I will file it with my knickers, slide rule, crystel set, wire recorder, fountain pen, 8 track, dial phone, pocket watch, bell bottoms and fuzzu dice.
I really like that passing mirror... Never heard of one..and I am old enough to have worked doing engineering using a Slide Rule too
I had one of those Passing Eye mirrors and chucked it on eBay after having it at several swaps for like $15 - and was shocked at the money it brought there, they're worth a few bucks for the lowrider crowd and the ones that put every bolt-on chrome gee-gaw they can find on a car.
